Regional Open Qualifying

On Monday 26 June, I took part in my first Regional Open Qualifying, which took place at Remedy Oak Golf Club.

I'd had some good practice in the run-up to Open Qualifying - winning 7 & 6 in the second round of the South Region knock-out on 26 May, and finishing tied 3rd out of 52 players in the Lee on the Solent Pro Am on 1 June. So I was feeling pretty confident going into the tournament.

The qualifying tournament itself was a great experience and a very tough test of golf. I carded a birdie-free +6 and finished tied 54th. And with only 8 players being taken through to the next round, there was certainly some tough competition.

A huge thank you to Justin Adgar from RJA Property Services Ltd. and Deson Kitchens for caddying for me. I'm looking forward to trying again next year!
