Windy Wednesday at Barton-on-Sea

Wednesday 25 April was the first Pro-Am of the Hampshire season and after a long winter, I couldn’t wait to get started. I had practiced hard, playing when I could in the winter Pro-Am tournaments, and later into the evenings with the lighter nights. I felt as prepared as I could be for the start of the season.

Unfortunately on the day, the winds were up at 45mph and with the course on the side of a cliff, it was not easy. Still, our team of Adam Freeman, Tommy King, Christine Richardson and I were all staying positive and looking forward to the challenge.

Unfortunately we got a little beaten early on in the round and lost a bit of motivation. We fought to the end but it was not the way I wanted to start my 2018 season. I had a 14 over 85 - but with not one pro breaking par, it isn’t as bad as it sounds, I promise!

The next Pro-Am is at Romsey on Friday 4 May so let's hope for some better weather! Onwards and upwards!

All of my future Pro-Am opportunities are listed as events on my Events page.
